CUCEK is a premier institute of engineering that has carved a niche for itself in the field of technical education in a very short span of years. Ever since its inception in October 1999, under the aegis of Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT) , the college has already made its presence felt in the technical horizon of the state. The college is situated at Pulincunnu in Kuttanad , an idyllic spot near the fringes of Alappuzha ,the land of backwaters ,in the state of Kerala in India. The place offers an inherent advantage of providing a congenial atmosphere away from the polluted cities ,for diligent academic pursuit. The college is a fully government college run by CUSAT and students are admitted ONLY on their merit based upon their rank in CUSAT CAT Entrance Exam. Any eligible student of ALL INDIAN STATES is free to write the CAT entrance exam and seek admission in this college . The college is affiliated to the prestigious Cochin University of Science and Technology, well known for its excellent academic standards and international collaborations . Graduates from the college are awarded degrees by CUSAT, whose degree is highly recognized even in other countries .In a performance survey conducted by the UGC, the CUSAT is ranked third best out of 117 Universities in India .Degrees are also approved by AICTE .
